my car has recently started making this clicking sound that i can't pinpoint, but seems to be coming from the driverside of the engine compartment. my car has 117,000 miles on it and i've been told that it may be the engine mounts. you think? how much might this run me to get fixed. i need my baby to be great, because i just got my new muffler.

 

A loud clicking could be a dirty valve lifter, in need of some Marvel Mystery oil.

 

it could be an exhaust leak. Check your manifolds. Also, the fuel injects click as they fire on and off... but it probably isn't that, that is a real rapid clicking...
