I have a new GM crate engine(caprice 350 long block) on its way to me and I am looking into some minor upgrades to it and SDPC told me to change out the cam to an LT1 cam and do the neccessery work to the heads to get it to work. how do you guys think she will run with my mods. SDPC says i should see almost 300 hP at the fylwheel they said the cam that comes in the caprice engine is so crappy and just changing to a LT1 cam will give the engine 100 more horspower. does this sound like to much.

 

100hp is a bit much. i'd say at the most a 40hp gain.
