my buddy just gave me a cam and lifter set from his 350 chevy. i have a stock 305 TPI in my 86 TA. Would the 350 cam fit in my car?

 

Yes, physically, it will fit in your 305, assuming it is a hydraulic cam (pre 87) and not a roller cam.
What are the specs on the cam, and what have you done to your car? Just because the cam fits does not necissarily mean it is appropriate for your application.
