Starter help

Can anyone tell me what size the large nut is to hold the positive lead from the battery to the starter is?

I don't remember, but its metric.... maybe a twelve or 14?

I put 3rd starter yesterday on 92 305. The big nut from the battery was 1/2" the small one next to it was 9/32"

IIRC, it's either a 3/8-16 or M10x1.5, depending on the year of the starter. A LOT of reman starters and replacement solenoids will have the 3/8-16 copper stud instead of the metric ones.
