Emissions in Jersey
Can anyone tell me what would happen if i were to hook up the smog air pump to push fresh air all the time while taking the emissions test? Would that be a good thing or bad?

I say go for it; screw 'em if they can't take a joke. 'Course, a good smog shop would see that it's running all the time, and might fail you for it!

I have come to realize that NJ inspection is one big joke and all private inspection stations really care about is a few bucks. I doubt they'll really give a crap what you do to pass ...just as long as it passes OR you give them a couple of bucks to make "repairs" on your car it will pass

Did you guys hear the worst part?? This pissed me off: After all this new inspection IM/240 dyno test BS, New Jersey's emissions DID NOT LOWER AT ALL!!! Great, huh?
Oops, we don't have IM/240, we have the ASM-5015 (50% load at 15 mph) test. Either way, it still makes me mad.
