Setting Valve Lash while engine is running.

First, you have to back off the nut till you hear a ticking noise (Over the rest of the car noises) Right? Then you tighten it till you don' t hear the noise. After that however, how much are you supposed to tighten it? 1/2 turn? 1/4 turn? Need to make sure I do these right and no go bending rods and such.

ok, something must be wrong, I set them to 1/2 after zero lash, and the car wouldn't start. I put them back 1/2 a turn, and the car fired right up.

Well, the car started, but it deffinitely didn't idle well at all.. it was about to die.

Well, I figured out what was wrong, I adjusted the preload w/ the car off, and I shoulda done it slowly when the car was on.

Man that passanger side valve cover is a bitch.

Anyway, yes those are centerlines on my car
