92,

Tech school or college - you still have to do the time. In college you'll get exposure to a wider variety of fields (some pretty boring) and may be able to find something you are interested in doing. In Tech school you have already chosen your interest and are more focussed on that field. There are benefits and disadvantages to each one, and it's your call.

yeah i pretty much know i want to do stuff with cars. My first idea was to become a mechanical enginer......but my ACT and GPA isnt good enough to get into schools for it. So i was thinkin about getting into a good automotive school, and trying to get my foot in a door at lets say...SLP, or some other big or upcoming name. But i dont know of any schools except SAM's, and the local UTI... but the UTI is a 2 year coarse and will probly get me into Pepboys...i want to further my learning.I LOVE CARS, and i know i want to do something with cars for a carrer, but i know being a mechanic at a local garage isnt something i want to be doing for the rest of my life either. Have you ever heard of SAM's (school of automotive Machinists)? it seems like a pretty kewl place to go.. kinda far from me,, but more than likely worth it. http://www.samracing.com if you care to look into it. I appreciate your help.
