I bet going to a junk yard and buying 2 doors would be the easiest way to do it.

How much weight does this conversion save? other than that, I can't see any point.

Ive thought about it myself if it was easy enough, our power windows tend to be ridiculously slow in comparison to other cars, even ones just as old.

If you dont mind the minimal effort of rolling them down on occasion, I dont see the point in power windows, especially in a non daily driver.

DIdn't know how easy / hard this is. Prefer manual as car will be track only, and don't want to worry about power windows not going down or up for that matter at the track.
Anyway any help / advice would be GREAT.

Try some searching, I know I had found something at some point about how its almost the same process as replacing a power window motor, only instead of using a new power window motor, you install the manual actuator. Past that you would just need the parts.

I did the conversion the other way, from manual to power. It wasn't too hard, like the post above says, you can just follow the step by step conversion backwards essentially.

I have two manual window cranks if anyone is interested to sell... just let me know. here are the directions i followed...

Re: Power to Manual Windows, Please help...

The best type of hardware (IMO) is small 10mm nuts and screws. Just like the factory ones used all over the door hardware. Once you punch the center from each rivet and drill the rivets out - the 10 mm nuts/bolts fit the mounting holes real well.

This picture shows the holes you will need to use when mounting the regulators to the door.

With Power Windows , The 2 FRONT rivets holding the regulator in place are located in the holes closest to the FRONT of the car (See yellow circles).

With Manual windows, The 2 FRONT rivets holding the regulator in place are located in the holes closest to the BACK of the car. (See yellow circles)

The other 2 regulator mounting holes ( red circles ) will line up with the right door holes once the front 2 are in set in the right place (depending on the swap. )
