What the heck is this???
went to look at a 90 gta for sale and wrote all the option codes down. when i checked them 4 of the were this:
6ZX : SPRING, COMPUTER SELECTED, FRONT, LEFT HAND
7ZX : SPRING, COMPUTER SELECTED, FRONT, RIGHT HAND
8NM : SPRING, COMPUTER SELECTED, REAR, LEFT HAND
9NM : SPRING, COMPUTER SELECTED, REAR, RIGHT HAND
i have never seen this before, what is it.
also , is 5495 a good beal for a near mint condition 90 gta 305/auto with 118000 miles and a new motor?

With those RPOs you should also have a "WS6" code. The WS6 cars had the springs selected based on weight of the car due to options, etc.
Spring rates vary widely among the mass-produced springs, and many were tested for rate and initial load. These are marked and separated, and identified at given rates, then selected on that basis for individual vehicles. The "regular" cars just got the next spring from the parts bin, while the WS6 cars had a little more attention given to them to maintain the optimal handling.
