Horsepower and CC's
Hey guys,
I just bought a 76 Formula with a 72 400c.i. engine. I have a question. I was talking to my friend the other day about heads. I told him the car has Pontiac 6X heads on it. He asked me what the CC's were on the heads, I told him 101 CC's. He started to laugh, he said theres no way i will make good horsepower with 101 CC heads. My question is, is this true? Do i need to find smaller CC heads. He said most high horsepower cars use 70-75 CC heads, is this true? Can I make good horsepower with 101 CC heads?
Thanks,
Robert
