Two Q's...One about FP and the other about TV Cable

1) When I set the fuel pressure should I disconnect the vac line that goes to the regulator? When I initially did this I didn't disconnect it and I just set it at 48 or 49psi.

2) I have a new TV cable that I just installed and it's too long I think. Which direction to you move the casing to make it tighter? Please tell me it's forward. I haven't been home again to try, but for some reason I think it's backwards for tighter and it's all the way back already. I have a Super Ram and thought I remembered other people with this problem?

I'll try to help....
1 I've never set the fuel pressure on a TPI engine, but on the GN the vacuum line does need to be disconnected. The vacuum will pull the pressure down about between 5-10lbs.
2 I'm kinda confused on what you're asking but for what its worth moving the cable towards the firewall tightens it (firmer shifts).

Ok well that takes care of the fuel pressure issue, but does anyone have a clue about the TV cable being too long?
