Coil Question
I am getting ready to do a tuneup to my 91 formula 5.7L, the first since I bought it. After reading a lot on this webstite I have decided to put on the following
MSD rotor and cap
MSD Blaster coil
MSD 8mm wires, blue (the 8.5mm red are twice as expensive, maybe next time)
NGK plugs
I have a question about the coil. There is a blaster 2 coil, for use with 6 series MSD ignitions, and a blaster GM coil that is supposed to be a direct bolton replacement. Which one do you guys use? Can I use either? Which one should I use?
Also I would apreciate any experience yall have had with this equipment.
Thanks

the blaster 2 coil has different terminals, so if your ignition is just going to have what you listed, you have to go with a GM coil. i got one from summit a few months back. took me about 5 minutes to put on, no prob at all.

cool
Thats what I thought. I am not going to change the ignition now to a MSD 6a. They are expensive and I heard they don't really help unless you have like 450 hp or something. Thanks

I'm using the Blaster GM Coil.
Plugged right in.
Need to use the old coil's bracket to mount it.
