A/c Parts Needed?

I used R134 in my A/C and it didn't work worth a damn. I am going to replace my A/C.

Blower motor, fan and electrical are good. I need a complete compressor, new canister and condenser for sure. Anything I'm leaving out? Where is the best place to buy these components new? Thanks

hey, where are you at, in a few weeks I am pulling all my r-12 stuff out....which will be the condensor, the big cylinder metal thingy, and the lines, as far as I know, it all works. I had them suck out the r-12, and there was still a charge in the system.

Im sure we could come up with a deal if ur close by....like you buy me an a/c delete pulley, and I will give you the compressor and all the other stuff.

About a month ago I offered all this for free...

The R-12 system hoses will probably start leaking soon after, since the molucules in R-134a are very much smaller. They tend to exit around the hose ends. On top of that, R-134a requires more pressure, which will tax the R-12 hoses causing even more leakage. The oils used in R-12 are also incompatible with R-134a. That stuff is next to imposible to fully remove once circulated.
All of these factors leads to a reduced service life, and a pourly functioning system.
The only thing I would add to a R-12 system besides R-12 is a blend like Freeze 12, R-414b, etc...

You might check you local parts store ? Thats where I would start.
Anything made on & after '94 will have a R-134a system.
