Went to track today. (results)

I was using MT ET Drags and couldn't manage to do a big burnout. It seemed like it was trying to hook so hard on the burnout that it just bogged the motor. I felt that it was really hard on the drivetrain so I didn't push it. Alright, here is the some of the best times. I was sleeping at the light on 2nd and 3rd runs. I know I was spinning quite a bit. I feel that with my trap speed that I should hit high 11's. Is this right?

Wow, wish my car was that fast. How do you like that TC with the rest of your setup (I plan on getting the same cam as you), next summer I'm getting a TC and I'm not sure on how much stall I should get, I don't want to kill my mpg either.

Wow! I'm impressed.

Which car was that in? The 83?

Looks like I found the cam I would choose if I had the money for the 400 on the stand.

I like the torque converter alot. It is a "Neal Chance Racing" converter. I had it custom built for my setup. It was only about $400.00. Oh, by the way that was with 100 hp shot of juice. I really think that if I had hooked I could have gone 11's. I changed the jets to 150 but the track was trying to rush all the f-bodies off at 4:00 since this was an f-body gathering. They wanted to clean up the grounds for the big race tonight. I didn't get to run again. I was disappointed. I know the 150 jets would have done it even with the bad spinning. I watched the video of my runs and you could see my car drifting sidways to atleast the 330' mark.

I'm not too disappointed with my car since I drove it almost 3 hours to the track, raced, then drove back. But, I did want 11's. I guess I'm really greedy.

I don't know what it runs on the motor. This was my first outing to a track and wanted to get the best times because of limited amount of runs I would get. I got there a little late. I also had the motor a little detuned for the N2O. Such as the timing and the colder plugs.

Oh, a guy on here has the same setup as me except for he has 3.42's and he runs a 13.00 on the motor. I think his name is Vortecfcar.

i got a buddy that traps at 110MPH and his best ET is 11.86. Only thing is he dumps the clutch at 5500 RPM and yanks the fronts wheels. This is also on a 150 shot. To hit an 11, your gonna have to get your 60 foot down by about another 2 tenths, or just slap in the 125 or 150 jets and go to town!

110 is closer to a 12 flat.

you need a little more hp to truly get the high 11s. Maybe on a cold day.

doesn't look too bad, but your either running too large of a tire or you need to figure out how to heat them more. you might want to lookin into doing some suspension work also. even the smallest et street should be good for a 1.6 60'.

I'm running a 26x8.5 on a 15" wheel. I have the spohn relocation brackets and lakewood lca's. I also have a poly torque arm bushing. My Spohn torque arm is on the way also. I think that I might get a line lock instead of trying to do a burnout by brake torquing. It seems hard on the car. My next time to the track I'll for sure heat them more.
