Is this garbage, or still functional?
Is this garbage, or still functional?
I found a guy selling an LT1 for $650 cdn, but the engine includes everything but the computer, harness, starter, and water pump. Without the computer and harness the engine is pretty much scrap metal isn't it?? Speedy feedback would be great!!! mainly because if it is possible for me to get it going, I have to act quickly.
Thanks in advance,
Jay

Is it the entire engine or just the LT1 set up? You can buy an ECM and harness for it.
If it's just the LT1 set up then you'll either have to A. buy an LT1 block because the LT1 blocks are not the same as a typical SBC block... or B. modify the LT1 intake so it can be bolted to a typical SBC block. This can be done but alot of money and modification is required.
If it's the entire engine then you'll also have to buy a water pump becaues the LT1 engines have reverse flow cooling and use different water pumps.
