Oil cooler idea

I'm in the process of changing from an auto to a manual. My friend suggested that I use the tranny cooler that's in the radiator as an oil cooler. I think that the lines may be to small inside and cause flow problems. What do you guys think?

86IROCZ,

That should work fine if the lines are 5/16" I.D. or larger. That's just about the way the factory oil coolers on Impalas are designed. What size steel lines are on the transmission oil cooler in your radiator (I've never had mine open)?

you can always snag the oil cooler of a 96-91 RX-7

they have very good oil coolers that I am sure you can mod to hook up to your car
