EGR Solenoid/Vacuum Question
EGR Solenoid/Vacuum Question
The computer deenergizes the EGR solenoid so vacuum can reach the EGR Valve when the computer energizes the solenoid to block off vacuum flow to the valve does the excess vacuum bleed of through the other port hole on the back of the EGR Solenoid?

Oray,
The third port on the EGR solenoid is a vent, to relieve the vacuum from the EGR valve when the solenoid deenergizes. There should have been a cute little cubic foam "filter" glued to the solenoid port when it left the factory, but it is probably long since gone.
