Vacumm question after new motor has been installed.

Ok, this past winter I tore my old 7 cylinder 352 sbc motor out, I rebuilt the motor and made a 383 out of it. I used the same cam, heads(+.100 taller valves and stronger springs, edelbrock 6085 heads), I used the same 1.6 crane roller rockers, longer pushrods(7.300), and the same intake/superram. Should be around 10.0 to 1 compression also.

My question is, at idle my car is at 42-46 kpa, before the teardown i was idling at 55-60kpa steady, now. I know my valves are clicking and need some adjustments but could that be causing my lower vacumm numbers?

Thanks,
Brendan

That seems normal to me. The increase in displacement will cause it to idle at a lower kpa.
