I wouldn't even bother mentioning this normally, but I had to share. I pulled up to a resturant and there was a civic, newer style not sure what year. It had japanese writing going up the side of it and across all windows, fart can with a light in it, and some HUGE wheels that look like 2 curved lawnmower blades. On the back he had a Nos licence plate. He was sitting there and started laughing at my car. I didn't think nothing of it till I come back out and started my car. It smokes on startup and the dude starts laughing till his face turned red. I got fed up real quick and told the dude to shut up and let me see that thing. He started it and reved it to the limit. I said"Who pissed of the bees?"
He said" Let's race punk, I smack you so damn hard you bit** will feel it, then I'll take your slu*" Of course he was talking about my wife who was in the car with me. I told him to get his as* out on the highway and I would make him my little bitc*. He told me he would run for no less than $100. I told him I wouldn't race for no less than his as* an a platter. We get on the highway, (rural highway that sees about 4 cars a month) I smoke the hell out of them then ask to see the money. He flashes a $100 and says, by the way I run 12's. I didn't care. We pull up to the deer sign and let it rip. I pulled so hard on the S.O.B. that by the time we hit the 4th telephone pole I have about 7 carlengths on him. I stop and wait for him to show up. He gets out of the car and throws the money at me. I said "What forget the Nos?"
He said "I'm fast, I don't know what happened"
I was figuring we was getting ready to fight, the he says"I don't get it I run 12's at Windy"
Instantly I start laughing.
Windy is 1/8

If you don't mind me stickin in a few of my stories:

1) My friend works at autozone. He has the 3800 Blown Series II. A Kid comes in with a old grand prix with the N/A 3800 Series I. He buys 3 Bottles of that NOS Octane booster and 4 cans of fuel injector cleaner. He tells my friend his stock 3800 Series 1 N/A could smoke his 3800 Supercharged series II. He says "I can do burnouts with the best of them, all I need is these and I can take out any sports car" He proceeds to go outside, open his gas tank, and poors 3 bottles of that NOS stuff in his tank, along with 4 BOTTLES of fuel injector cleaner and says "Ok time to race"

2) Kid in a neon with a *header* and exhaust (With fart tip) tells us he ran a 15.1 in the 1/4. Then says "Yea its quick, I take out ls1's"


I just about busted out laughing in both of these kids faces.

Got a new one for ya, went to the track one last time before I start overhauling my IROC, and guess who's there And the gods of fortune must have been with me because the first race I was placed in was with him. I got up there ready to run and he pulls up to the guy running the track, yells somthing out the window and BACKS OUT!!! So I went ahead and ran a solo. I turned in a 9.02 at 80.6mph 60'2.00 I pulled up to his little "Gang" of 2 neons and a accord and throw my ticket at him. Next thing I know he leaves the track. Maybe I hurt his feelings

 

this is what they will come up with next , this ***** fad has to go away REAL soon ...............

ok, dont ask me how/why i know this but i believe those rims are called Arreli Assassins. Quite expensive if i do recall, like over 1000 easy. Anyway, good kill, that's freakin hilarious. my friend has an MX-6 and thinks it fast cause he ran like an 11.9 in the 1/8

Yea, I was pretty hot about him talkin like that to my wife, but I'm the type that will take your money, then make someones life a living hell Besides that I didn't feel right, the kid was about 5'4 and I'm 5'11. The other thing is that I weigh 335! And to keep this a racing post, I was on the way home and come up on a mustang getting ready to run a neon. They started before I had a chance to get up to them, but the stang waived me on. When they took off that neon was kickin, he made a carlength on that stang from the start. I was coming up on the stang and he gets over, yelling "get that as*hole" I keep the gas hammered and barely get to him before we have to stop. We pull up to the gas station and the stang guy pulls up. he told me that that neon wasn't a normal neon. I of course ask what he meant and he proceeded to tell me that the neon had a V8! I got to thinking about it and that is when we see it pull back up. The front is chopped and primered and the back had no seats. I look in the car and the drivers seat is almost on top of a big block of sheet metal going the length of the car! I asked the guy to pop the hood (old guy, in his 60's) He said sure and guess what was in it, a TPI!!! He said it's his project car and that motor was from his totaled 89Z!! It even has the 700R in it. He is going to try to get a website up showing the process of rebuilding this neon!!!

 

Well, neons are still ugly, but I gotta say that is the coolest one i've ever heard of. I don't even think I would mind losing to a crazy project car like that.

 

60 yr old guy modded a Neon like that, wow he must have some time on his hands.

The guy is a retired engineer from the old peabody mine we had here about 18 years ago. His wife is a RN and is never home. All in all the guy was pretty cool, dissin the stang though. I asked more about that neon when I went to the car show we had in town. The guy has a sharp Z06, and calls it his attitude adjuster. He said that the neon was origionally going to be a LS1 buildup, but I got the story behind the TPI. It was his sons car and he died in a car(the Z) crash a few years back. He(his son) always joked about how funny it would be to put his Z motor in a little car and suprise the hell out of people. I guess that is a fitting tribute to his kid!
