Update on my ticket
If you can remember I posted about getting a ticket two months ago. Well today was my court date and I have the results. The traffic ticket was $105 and I opted to take traffic school. The judge was nice I bumped the ticket down from 56 to 49 when I told her what happened. Thanks for everyone who gave me advice on what to do in court. The dressing nice and being polite seemed to help me. She gave the other teens with similar offenses much higher fines because of their attitudes. Well now I get to look forward to two 6 hour Saturdays of traffic school

I still had to pay the $105 but with traffic school the ticket is off my record. That means no sky rocketing insurance rates. Some of the other kids she was giving $200 fines to
I was the lowest fine there.

If it's anything like drivers ed them movies is funny!... well except the sick one about the girl that gets killed and the officer is all joking about the disgusting mess.... But The Red Pavement is a classic... I don't think they show that very often.

The most important thing is that it doesn't touch insurance... those are the worst.

Well I will let you guys know how bad traffic school is after I attend one. Right now I have to schedule a couple Sats.
It's well worth going to traffic school to get it off your record, that's what I did. The court fees and class fees are a couple hundred, but its definately better than insurance going through the roof. I did the same thing as you, dressed up in a suit and tie and was the most polite I've ever been, "yes ma'am your honor". Got traffic school and a clean record
. Never, ever going through that again. But the classes themselves weren't that bad, my instructor was pretty cool, which helped.

The traffic school shouldn't be too much. The ticket was $105 which I paid at the court so there was no court fee. Right now it is pretty much go to traffic school if you want just after July 7th we are putting it on your record so get it done before then.

If you can do trafic school on the internet do it,I've done both and both cost about $25 for each, the internet school you can do in about 4 hours and is very easy.I didn't like going to a classroom for 8 hours. All we did in the class was watch a couple tapes, listen to others complain about their tickets, and a 2 hour lecture about laws of the road.Glad to hear they didn't make a example of you.

Unforunately mine is a 12 hour class traffic school. No internet option for me. Yea the Judge was nice to me. Guess she liked my honesty and politeness. She asked if I was speeding and I said yes but not 56 I was going 49. Then she bumped the fine down to 49. Made the other kids think she was a nice judge so they could walk all over her but she changed that with a $210 fine to one kid and a $180 fine for another. I was lucky for my $105 fine for going 49 in a 40.
