My 86 Z vs. 4th Gen SS
Just wanted to report a kill that I have under my belt. It was probably about a month ago. I was driving down Eight Mile near Gratiot in Detroit and pulled up to a light. A white 4th Gen SS pulled up next to me. I looked at his car to check it out. I guess he thought I wanted to race after the light turned green I was hitting about 45 and he pulled up next to me and decided to gun it. Of course in seeing this I gunned mine and caught him. It was official. The next light we lined them up to race. I had a perfect launch and killed him going down to the next light. I figure he didn't know how to drive it that well. I had him by 3 lengths. The next light we lined them up again. Same result. This time it was even worse. I went straight at it from the start and left him 4-5 cars behind. To make it so bad my Z is an LG4 engine. I'm not sure what mods might have been done to it before I got it. But I have killed Mustangs and other Camaros.
Too bad my engine bearings are gone

supposedly it was stock so it should be an LG4. Only mods that I did to it was pull the cat(clogged badly), Street Avenger Carb. I'm pulling the engine so hopefully I can tear it down and see exactly what's in it. When I bought it the guy said that he hadn't done any performance mods. Maybe his uncle did before him. Something had to be done to it though. It seems unusually strong for a stock LG4

No way that's a stock LG4 or anything close. It would have to have full exhaust, cam, headwork, gears, TC (unless a stick).Oh, and I hope you put on a NON CC dist. too.

Sometimes you luck out. Maybe that engine is really a 400. Then it could do it with manifolds and not too much converter. A 2.73 gear makes that a little hard to do though. Good kill but i would say find out what is really in there, a 150 hp 305 is not going to beat a LS1.
