Good Race??
Good Race??
A while back I asked about a kid with a modded 350 running my car with some juice. The truth is he did get an Fbody, but it is a 1990 or so 305 TBI. It is stock and an automatic! I'm thinking of asking him if he still wants to run for $500, should I be scared if he says yes, what would one of those run on spray, say a 150 shot?
(oh ya, he said it has 160 hp at the wheels but he has never dynoed it!)

I don't think you've got anything to worry about. That's a pretty well matched combo you've got there, it should run pretty strong. Is your cam installed straight up? With the rest of your induction system, it's screaming to be retarded 4 degrees.
Re: Good Race??
so he has 160 at the wheels in a heavier car...and you probably have 210+ HP at the wheels.
You run your car in the 1/4 yet? Dying to see what it runs. I haven't been at the track in about a year and i keep waiting to install my Cobra Intake but i am lazy...what can i say
Nic...how did you get your 2.3L to run 17.9? My old '90 ran a 20.7 when i took it.

You're gonna make him look silly. You're running 13's easily with the combo you've got and he's gonna be lucky to be running a high 14 or so with the juice.
Thanks foor the input. I was going to run this wekend, but there is a sucking sound coming from the Intake, (if either of you can help me troubleshoot this PM me!) and the mechanic who finally got the car running ripped one of the sleeves for the CAI and I had to tape it together for now!
The shift kit isn't in yet, but it really needs to go in, there is no second gear in normal driving! I was expecting traction issues, but it hooks much better, there is a little spinning and then it goes, and no chirp in second! It pulls much harder and when passing it picks the gears quickly and pulls good! Personally I think if I bump the timing to 14 degrees or so, and fix the sucking sound, it will pull harder and hopefully go mid 13s on the street tires!
Mustang 5L5 watch out when installing the Cobra ntake, the hoses located on the bottom don't line up and there are hoses that I had to plug with bolts! I'm thinking this may be the sucking sound!
Sorry about the non-thirdgen material, I pretty much figured I would beat him, but I was wondering if he put in some juice!
