Well I dont know what you are running but he may have you beat. I think the new ones can run a mid-high 14 with a good driver. Somebody on here said that there is some pulley you can get for like 70 dollars that will put that GTP in the high 13's.

If hes stock, you got a fighting chance.
If he had a pully, goodnight
But since you said he's stock, its gonna be real close.

A GTP will be a mid 14 second car to a low 15 second car depending on traction. They get very little traction with their powerful motor and FWD. I say you've got a chance if it's all stock but as said before with some exhaust work,a supercharger pulley and some good tires these cars are pushing mid-high 13's.

The GTP will win- not a by a big margin though. I've seen a few 305TPI (auto) cars at the track and they are only 0.2 faster then my my TBI IROC (auto too)
Granted yours is a 91 (they were rated at few more hp) and some of your mods help.
Still, the GTP gets the nod.

no! Race him before and after.
Better yet go to the track and get a baseline time- then do some mods and run down the track again. You'll see how much improvemet your money
made.
It really bugs me when I talk to people, encouraging them to race their car. Some say, "No,
it's all stock" I'm like so??? It's fun, safe and no Cops!!!

My friend T-Bird
My friend 97 T-Bird LX Sport Stays up with his friend 97 GTP. The bird doesnt have that many modes but it is faster than the supercoupes of the years b4 it. You should be able to beat him if a FORD can keep with it.

the t-bird has
dual flows 40 series,
4" CAI,
Removed Back Seat
its not that much of a win
the bird will run a 9.98 thats w/o 4" CAI
the gtp runs a 10 flat
does it help if the guy we know with the GTP cant drive worth $hit
my 3.1 RS V6 can take him through first!!

first i'll race my dad in my moms car (which happens to be a 99 grand prix gt-200hp) to give me an idea-then i'll have to worry about the +40hp later
my car is in the body shop right now being "pretty-ed up" i won't get it back until about friday, i'll keep u guys posted on what happens
oh, anyone know what my car is rated at stock? what 205hp or something right?

yea 205hp if u had g92 (4wd brakes 5500rpm redline dual cats) u would be like 220hp or something. torque is about the same and ur low on horsepower. then again those gtps are heavy, and can torque em up. id nod the gtp also, they are quick dont let a v6 fool you.

Yea, lookout for the GTP. It seems like everybody over at clubgp.com has the pulley on their GTP, and for around $70 why not. Just hope that he floors it because the FWD loves to spin, and sometimes turn (I hate that $#!+)
IROCThe5.7L you got a nice looking car.
