This is my first kill with my 355 to speak of this year.

I left a light this morning and I saw a blue 4th gen turn the corner trying to catch me. The road was dead and when we got to the next light we were the only cars around.

At the light I looked over and saw the Z-28 emblems on the side, so I knew it was a go. I also so two occupents, about 19-20 or so , and noticed the driver was looking at my cowl hood and kind of laughing. That just made me mad.

When the light changed, they jumped first and before they were out 1/2 car I reeled them back in a passed them by about 3 cars before 80mph when we slowed for traffic.

I got out of traffic first and the road was clear again so I rolled about 30 mph waiting for them to catch up, when they did, instead of slowing down and going from a roll, they flew by at about 60 or 70 mph like they were beating me or something.

Its bad enough that other group of guys does this, but from fellow camaro owners. Nothing bothers me more than 4th gen owners who think they're so much faster than us, because they're faster when stock.

 

i hate that crap....i've seen it from soo many drivers of 4th gens....and not to rag on camaro owners, but they are the ones i notice doing it in my area. (not to say that in a different area it would be different.) A lot of guys with the 4th gens think they are top **** right out of the box, and not to say their cars are slow, cuz they aren't. But they could use some mods just like the rest of us out here...stupid people **** me off. It's that damn "*****" mentality that is going around like a disease. People buy these cars that look sporty, or are advertised as sporty, and think they are king of the world in them. Poor bums.

 

I think alot of guys forget that some of us drive 3rd gens because we like them, and not because we can't afford a 4th gen.
I test drove 3 4th gens in the past year, A 6 spd LT1 bird, an auto LT1 Z, and a 99 auto Z,

The LT1's were both pretty dissappointing, and the LS1 was almost as fast as mine only alot smoother, love that motor.

The only thing that kept me from buying it was the looks of the body, and then looking at the engine bay, not open enough for my tastes.

Anyways, there's too many fast thirdgens out there these days for these guys to put them off like that, I had the last laugh this time though.

 

heh yea if it was a LT1 my car stock ran with him. thats funny, a guy did that 2 me and i put 1 car on him and held a 1/2 a car lead before i shut down. boy was he pissed.
