Got busted by a ******** bike cop for romping on the gas while turning off of speedway onto a small side street, all I did spun in the dirt a little in first and chirped 2nd, cop claims I was spinning all the way since I turned onto the street. The street has absolutely NO tire marks on it and a ton of dirt everywhere. The bike cop was sitting about 300ft or so away at an agle, and yet he claims he could see the tires spinning through all the trees and such that were blocking his point of view! The ticket says criminal traffic, and the crime is "exhibition of speed." Whats my best bet at fighting this? Whats the worst that could happen? I have had only maybe one ticket I can remember within the last couple years besides this, and it was for like speeding in someone's elses car on teh highway.

 

When that happened to me I asked one of my good friends (mechanic) to write me a letter for the court saying the transmission was acting up and sometimes would go into full throttle by itself. sent in the letter with the ticket to contest it ... didnt even have to go in .. i got off scott free.

 

I would just go in tell em the road is covered in dirt and accidentally spunn em from all the dirt. Quite frankly the only time i have heard of anybody getting an exhibition of speed was from cops that couldn't really get them on anything real and just decided that running up to the speed limit fast was good enough.

 

You will lose against the cop if you both go to court. In Cali its a double pointer. So be careful when you go swangin it.

 

Why? Do the judges always favor the cops? That ****ing sucks. I have a bunch of evidence and a witness that was in the car with me. GOt a bunch of pictures of the road that I took the day after that have date stamps on the back so you know they are real..........and they show the dirt all over the road.

 

what does "double pointer" mean?

 

In California they go by a point system, like 10 points you loose your liscence or something. Might not appply where you live ...
