i was coming home from work tonight and pull up to the stoplight and theres tis ford f-150 triton v-8 SVT, im checking it out cause it looks kinda cool.

the light turns green and the dude barks them and takes off like crazy, i wasnt expecting it so by the time that i start to roll hes halfway accross the intersection and hauling some @$$.

once i realize that he wanted to play, i floored it and by the time that i shifted to second we were even and i flew past him

what kind of truck was this it wasnt a lightning and why was it so pathetic

He prolly wasn't trying, only gave it a little off the line. He probably thought that you gave him the ***** flyby too.

 

If it was a lightning he wasn't even remotly trying to race you, other wise he would have eliminated you.

Could have been the Pep Boys SVT look alike. Just like the Supra GTR Mustangs I see. Or the 4 door Si Civics. Rice does not discriminate between imports and domestics. It's like a disease.

it wasnt a lightning, standard f-150 ride height, no GFX, no lightning badges any where

the badges that said svt were part of the f-150 badges so if it was just riced it was a good job

the motor was giong way to hard for it to not to be trying (wot sound)

back window said outlaw svt but im thinkin that the sticker was just a sticker

 

It wasn't an SVT car. Just someone tossing emblems on a slow truck. Only truck SVT touches is the lightning..and you would know if you raced one of those suckers! :hail:

Im not proud of it but last summer i worked at ford..i drove an svt mustang and f-150..all i got to say is the lightning is a daaaaammn nice truck. Turbo charged and intercooled v8...w/a price tag of 42,000..ill stick to my camaro thanx

 

shame the lightning was/is supercharged

 

interesting to read this post, because a couple of days ago, I was walking around the bodyshop and I saw a silver Ford F150 that said "SVT F150"... I couldn't believe my eyes, because I had just read this post and voila! There it was, right before my eyes.

It had the full body kit, supercharger and mags... and yes, it was a true Ford Lightning.

That's okay.. I'd rather have a Cyclone instead.

 

It could have also been an older lighting....what kind of body style was it? If it was the older bodystyle, I do believe those had the F-150 SVT badges, instead of the Lightning badges.

 

if i was gonna get a sport truck..id get a 1990 chevy 454ss...290 horse and 440 ft pounds....ohhh yea!!!

 

not to mention mid 14-15 second 1/4 mile times
