How much HP does it take...
Well, since I installed my new motor, it seems to get faster and faster as I break it in, today I installed a new shifter ( another stock one from pick a part) and chirped 2nd - 3rd for the 1st time.
It wasn't a wussy chirp either. What kind of Hp does it take to do this with a T-5 and 3.73's with 245/16's. and to all of you guys out there who remember the first time you chirped 2-3rd, what kind of e.t.'s were you running, the nearest track is like 60 miles from me, I'm really curious.
1983 Z-28 L69 bored .030 over to 310ci, .420/442 cam, 56cc heads, edelbrock intake and open element, Edelbrock TES headers, gutted cat, 2.5 inches back to a flowmaster 2 chamber, centerforce stage 1 clutch (o.e. replacement) LUK pressure plate, energy torque arm mount, T-5 and 3.73's

I can do 1-2 & 2-3 easy, I have posi w/ 3.23's and sticky Potenza RE730's, my guess is you would have to run in the 15's to breakt hem loose, it not even a matter of et's just how torky your car is.
