First kill for my new firehawk!
Well i just bought a 00' firehawk yesterday and I was out cruising tonight and rolled up to a light. A blue first gen talon DSM rolls up next to me and I wasn't really thinking much of it. Then he throws a rev at me and I just looked over and didn't really know what to think. So i hear him rev his car up rather high and the light turns green and he launches hard out of the hole taking me off the lauch. I didn't bother giving it gas until i was rolling out at about 15 mph then I dropped the LS1 hammer on him and when I hit the 1-2 Shift I already had him in the rearview and just kept pulling. All I can say is i'm definitly in love with this new car. Man i'm sure glad I bought it..it's worth every penny. Ok my rant is over.
i have still yet to ride in a 4th gen... my dad says hes gettin one... hopefully he'll take me again like he did when he bought his 87 in 87.... only this time ill make sure he gets the f*ckin 5.7!!

i' surprised that dumb import tried to race you. He obviously stood no chance. Maybe he thought it was a six. :hail: to anything with the name FIREHAWK. Don't those come with SLP full exhaust stock? He probably should have heard your car if it has that. Unless his fart can was too loud.

Heh you make me so jealous!!! Firehawk AT are the ones to stay with. My buddy in his 00' SS AT ran 13.6 @ 101mph and has no plans for mods. Oh I will take him out next summer, oh yes I will. Firehawks are lightest I know that, I don't know about SLP but wouldn't doubt it. Nice kill.

thanks for all the kind words guys. I know it's not as thirdgen but i've been here a long time and still love these cars. I just upgraded to something a little newer for now. And the firehawk comes with Ram air, suspension upgrades,17x10" chrome wheels,SLP true dual exhaust(which has a nasty rumble at idle but when opened up sounds awesome) and of course the badging and such. I'm taking mine to the track next wednesday and i'm hoping for a mid to low 13 which I think I should be able to get. I was suprised at how quick it was compared to the 6 speed 01' SS I drove. I guess the firehawk has something special. Whatever it is I sure as hell am loving it.
i dunno, 4th gens are kinda all over the place... ive seen good drivers run 13.3's and really good drivers run 12.99 stock... guy still had his temp. plates on!! i talked to him.. said he just bought it 3 hours before.... now the kid has upgraded to all ls6 stuff and it runs 11's... good luck with ur firehawk.... sounds like a mean *****...
Cobrakiller, I was just wondering how much you paid for that badboy? That way i can start saving now
About a month after i bought my t/a i found a 94 Firehawk in the paper for $7,000. It was really nice but before i could call about it it was sold. I spent all my money on the bird anyways. My guess for the price of your car is $19,000 - $23,000. Right? How many miles?

Gotta love that first kill with a new car. I've been lookin' to get an SS myself. I just love the thought of dustin' all the 6 banger 4th gens in my town, maybe a few older vets too, and some mustangs, and some third gens, and a few old jaguars............

mine has 27k miles and is perfect. Asking price was $27k but I got them down to $22k. They probably went so low cause they thought I was going to pay their 17% percent interest they were going to charge me. They were rather shocked when I went to my bank and took out a loan from them at a much much lower rate. But they had already qouted me the price of $22k.I was rather happy with that compared to what other dealers were asking for lesser cars. I guess they didn't think a 19 year old would be smart enough to do that.
