Well he was 2 cars in front of me and I guess he saw me cause he pulled over in the median and waited for me to pass then he got in behind me. I looked in my rear view mirror and could only see a big tach. Great a modded LS1 that is tough enough to see my car and wait on me. I figured this would have been a good race. So at the light he got next to me and reved. Guy seemed like a jerk. I asked him what he had done and he said "stock" which was total BS cause he didn't even have tail pipes and it was very loud. Oh well doesn't really matter. Light turned green and he hit it hard and started spinning and was keeping up to me until I hit 2nd gear and started pulling hard. By the time I was at mid 4th he was 3 cars behind. After that he wouldn't get back next to me. Oh well, his car still looked sharp! :hail:

Well, with all the mods he has I don't know why you think that his story is . Especially, with the gears that he has assuming that he was driving the '99 cobra. If he wasn't then the story is still very believable.

Monkie, now that you have a 2003 cobra, which one is faster? I'm guessing the '03 since you already have it modded. But what if you use the spray?

Dude I got $50 says this isn't BS. First of his Mustang has some very nice mods on it, and he sounds like he is an experienced driver. Plus just because you own an LS1 doesn't mean you know how to drive one. I remember some guy beating a brand new Corvette C5 with his 5.0 mustang just because the other guy drives like my grandma.

I did beat the Vette and lots of people suck at driving. Think of it this way, stock an LS1 verse a Cobra is pretty even with the LS1 being slightly faster, then you add his mods, and he will be faster. Like has been said MANY times before, in a street race the driver has alot to do with the outcome!

LS1 Auto SS's are nothing. My friend has one with a auto and ran 13.597 @ 101mph. Thats a 13.6 @ 101mph. Considering the torque is what got hiim that 1/4 time and maybe a mph with the ram air, a 99 Cobra would run 13.8 @ 99 or 100mph. With mods the Cobra could easily beat him, especially with 4.10s. Those gears are like *** sends on the 4.6s. Not at all bull****, I get to race my friend tonite, last time i raced a modded formula lt1 got him off the line, im hoping shell have a full car load and ill be solo

 

not to mention if it was the 03, may the LS1 pray to *** he even keeps up.

Yes this was in the 99 Cobra. The 2003 is even faster if you believe it. Here I am with the 99 spraying a 125 shot and its all I can to keep up with the 2003 Cobra with the mods it has. I really can't imagine a custom dyno chip and a 15psi pulley. :hail:
