took on a 88 vette

this was a few months back but i figured what the hell....i was on my way from ny to michigan goin down I-80 in PA.. im crusing about 78 chillin stereo blasting t-tops out ya know hittin a fattie enjoyin life...i have the seat leaned waaaayyyy back like the ghetto cruzers and i look to my left and see this red vette comin up on my side...im like "ohhh this could be intresting" so i pop my seat back up put my doobie in the ashtray and pace this guy.....hes doin about 82 and he sees me speed up a little to keep pace....he gasses it a little im like "here we go" i drop it to 4th and gas it back a little and i hear him floor it..it was an auto so it did the double downshift so he didnt get a jump on me because of that...he goes and im on it...we get to a buck 20 and theres a car im my lane about a quarter mile up so i let off a bit so i can move over to his lane to get him in front of me....i get behind him and now were at 130 and still climbin...and im keepin pace with him!!! i maintain the distance which was about a carlenght and a half and i start reelin him in...i go over to the other lane and my reelin stops now the distance is constant...were at 135 and noone is gaing n e ground..i pull back behind him and i start drafting off the guy and gain the 2 carlenghts and pull out to pass him and as soon as i got to his door we let off....
it was awesome..because of the draft i got it to 147 148? but it was over the 143 my car iss rated at....
we slowed down to 75 door to door and we looked at each other and both had the looks of "goddamn we were just doin 145 mph for 4 miles"... it was great lmao
REMINDER if u ever plan on going that fast with the t-tops out DO NOT WEAR A HAT!!
