UPDATE: The RSX Type S. Period.
UPDATE: The RSX Type S. Period.
For those of you skeptical of 92fire-audio's description of the race encounters with my formula 350 , Here ya go. Let's see, well...he pretty much told the truth. He was only behind by about a car and his car pulled very strong throughout his powerband. Notice he did not say that he beat me nor did he say his car was faster than any of ours. So why did you all flame him for giving an honest account of a legitimate street race? Like 92 fire-audio's post, my purpose in this post is not to offend anyone or make any outrageous claims regarding the rsx, I am simply validating what he said. So there you have it, 92 fire wasn't in playland afterall. Did any of you catch the part where he said, "...I love thirdgens..."? I mean, if youre going to flame someone, read the post first!
By the way, can it honestly be said that thirdgens are flawlessly engineered? No. So why do some thirdgenners act like their car is superior in all aspects?
Just my 2 cents
Jon

Probly couldn't keep up with you because of 2 things:
1. the stock tires suck. It's impossible to launch without wheel-hop on stock michelins.. I have some kuhmo's on lightwieght rims that are much better..
2. The car isn't very easy to race.. it takes a lot of practice to get the shift points down.. The difference between 100-150 rpm when shifting is the difference between falling on the big cam or not...
As I said in the earlier post, I still lost to his 350 formula, but I wouldnt call it murdered. The top end was fairly close but you have to give it to the l98 to kill me in torque..
If you still think i'm just bsing, then check the IP adresses of the post..

i would have to agree with the rsx having a flat tire for your little 6 to beat it....it is lacking on tq, but a type S with 200hp isnt anything to laugh at with your 140-160 hp, not to mention that your car is a bit heavier...

If you have to start worrying whether a RSx is gonna beat your thirdgen then your better off selling your car or modding the hell out of it, cause thats just a shame.
Should I sell my car? What If I had a 02 Z06, and lets just say for laughs that a heavily modded 5.0 pulls up to me at a light. Everyone with me so far? Light turns green, as the stang pulls away I realize he is blown and on the bottle. Should I sell my Z06? I just got killed by a car that is portrayed as being a "piece".
My point is youre never going to have the fastest car, so just because a "lesser" car hangs with you or even kills you off a light or down the track doesnt mean you you have to get youre feathers ruffled. Give credit where credit is due. RSX? Thumbs up!

The one RSX I saw at the track went 15.6. It was a Type S and looked bone stock. Not bad, but I expected a little better. And the driver could drive. he drives dragsters, and his drag car broke so he ran the RSX!!!
Oh ya, in the bracket against the 8 second dragster, he won. Does that mean the dragster should be sold?

It's locked. Points have been made and I don't want this to go anywhere I don't want it too.
