AWD turbo Talon vs '91 RS
OK me and my buddy are out Friday night cruising in his 350 TBI '91 RS (needs to get a 350 TBI housing for it the 305 mill is too small), but anyways a black Talon pulls up next to us and my buddy throws some revs at him. I started laughing at my buddy and the guy in the Talon thought I was laughing at him so he took off this light like a shot (compared to the crappy RS I was in). Later I talked to some other people and they said he was dead stock.
My Question is, would I be able to take him in my '91 RS (B4C)? If not how much do I lose by?
Thanks, Garrett

hmmmm, its gonna be close...if you're both stock and you get a good jump, you might win but not by a lot. if he has any mods to his turbo or can launch his car, he might win. this one is too close to call......
Those cars are notorious for not being able to shift well with the manuel. The linkage is just a bad design. They run real close to 15.0s stock. Those things are so crazy though. I've heard of guys running bone stock hardware except a boost controller and a MSD box and running in the 13s. Then my friend upgrades his turbo, hotwires the fuel pump, gets full comp controll, and only runs 14.5s. He was having a terrible time with his shifter and refused to powershift, and his O2 sensor was saying he was running lean. Those turbo 2.0s are a real mystery.

B4C Camaro E/T : low 14s with good driver
GSX (or equivalent) E/T : high 14s with good driver
unless you botch your launch, you should win. good luck!

Nah, if you're in tune and launch decently you'll dust him. Low 15s are the norm for those things. Can be quick with relatively few cheap/free mods like any turbo car (and the AWD helps just a bit
