Ok. So you all know the story. Its gonna be me vs my buddies supercharged 2000 Mustang Gt. I know i have no chance in hell and this is just all for fun. I'm racing him tonight so i'm just starting this post so i can update it tomorrow w/ a nice play by play for ya all I'm also gonna go against my friends 95 Z28 w/ the mods as follows: a cold air kit and an slp loudmouth exhaust. Once again, all for fun and i'll let you guys know how bad i get my *** kicked tomorrow Until then, have a good saturday

Ok boys and girls. It was quite a surprising evening for me which made me look at my car in a whole new light. So w/o further delay, here are the results:

Setting for all 3 races took place on a country road at my friends house.

Race #1-1991 Camaro RS vs 1995 Camaro Z28 (mods:cai, slp loudmouth)
We both line up and i take it to about 3 grand. The hands drop and the Z spins a bit so i take him off the line and surprisingly am ahead up until the beginning of 3rd at which point he takes over and kills me. Now to some, this would still be a defeat, but to me, i was thrilled to take him that long Excellent race for me

Race #2-1991 Camaro RS vs Supercharged 2000 Mustang GT
Yea, this one I knew i was just gonna get stomped on. It was ok cause it was all just for good fun. We both line up. The hands drop and we both get excellent launches w/ the stang only spinning slightly which allows me to take him off the line up until maybe....yea, not even half of first gear After that it was no contest. For me tho, just being able to race him was cool so I wasnt the least bit embarrassed or pissed that i didnt do well at all. Both races were just hella cool and it was just awesome to race em both.

Race #3-1995 Camaro Z28 vs. Supercharged 2000 Mustang GT
This was kind of a "spur of the moment" race so it was all for fun. The cars lined up, hands drop...both cars had excellent launches and the Z looked like he kept up thru 1st gear but then the stang just took over. Both cars sounded baddass together tho and it brought a tear to my eye

So in the end, yea i lost, but for me the race w/ the z was a big victory for me. Being able to take him thru 2nd was just awesome. To come back and here one of the guys say "jesus, you took him off the line totally, hows that feel?!" was pretty damn cool. Hopefully i can start fixing up the car again so the next race I can win. But until then, i'll just keep hunting for civics :rockon:

 

Good showing against the Z28. Your friend sounds like he has a fast GT. What kind of numbers is producing?

 

349rwhp. Hes got tons of suspension work done..as far as engine mods, the supercharger (of course), full exhaust w/ long tube headers, everything more or less but new cams, heads and whatnot. BUT, he is getting new cams and forged internals as well as a stroker kit and a smaller pulley probably this winter. Its fast as hell as it is now...its gonna be crazy once he finally is done w/ it.
