Got Stomped

I caught a light with a 5.0 Stang last night and boy did I get stomped. I looked over and he had some gauge pods on his A pillar so I figured he had to have some work done, unless he was a *****. But anyway, I had him through first, but by the time i hit second he was gone. Car sounded really bad *** too.

not for nuthin but what were u thinkin lol...messin with a 302 with a lg4 ...lmao....there mid 14's and your a high 15 low 16....but it was nice through first wasnt it lol....

some are stock others are definitely not

well i thinik the reason i had him through first was because he hadn't hit the gas yet And I knew I was gonna lose, but I just had to try.

the craziest race I've had like this was when I tried taking on a Turbo Supra from a 30 roll. I drop it into first, hit my shift point about half a second later, slam it in second, and look over as I pull 2 lengths on this guy. I'm thinking, no WAY!!! so I get all excited, throw it in third, then hear the biggest freakin turbo spooling up. "oh shat....." about this time he blows by my *** and the tables completely turn, he puts 2 lengths on me, and it wasnt even a full 1/4! It was still cool though, a definite learning experience.

I will agree that some 5.0s are fast and some are slow. The problem is it is hard to tell. I have seen coupes with 10 holes, and the only exterior mods being tint and drag radials running low 12s! Imagine catching that car at a light!

I have also seen them with wings, aftermarket skirts, and loud exhausts running in the low 15s! It is difficult to tell with the 5.0s, because headers, and off-road H, and any cat-back will sound nice on them!

Still no harm in trying.
