1/8 mile time stock vs. new mods
When my 90 RS 305 TBI was bone stock I ran it twice at the local 1/8 mile track in Charleston S.C. and ran 10.66@66mph and 10.65@67mph. Looking at my mods since I wonder what it will run now in the 1/8. It still has the same 2.73 gears. Can't wait to try it out as soon as I can get to a track. Anyone care to give me a guesstimate on this? Those are the only 2 runs this car has ever seen on the track.
i think the gears are killing you because its a 1/8th mile track, and 60 foot and pure acceleration are key..
you should be in the low 9s i would think, get higher gears (3.73s) and you should be well into the 8s!!
