my 4th gen against a 95 gt mustang

Ok well a friend of mine has a 95 gt with full exuast except stock headers, cold air intake, msd ignition, and cowl hood. Also has a built tranny. Well Im wanting to beat him with my 96 trans am. My only mod is cold air intake right now. just a stock lt1 pretty much.

go take that fool. my best friend has a '95 GT with the 4.b!tch in it, dog *** slow when he got it. after adding FULL exhaust, meaning BBK full length headers, BBK h-pipes, and Flowmaster cat-back, throttle body, injectors, and Granatelli MAF, he *might* be running high 13's. those things are complete and total turds. stock they seriously have about 230 hp. basically the only thing he has over you is the MSD and the cat-back exhaust. thats not going to add enough power to make what the LT1's do stock.

yeah I know his is the 5.0 and ive road in it and it seems quick, but mines seems faster. His spins the tires a lot farther though and he has good tires, but that dont mean anything.

I had a buddy who used to have a '94 GT auto with the same mods including MAC headers but without the MSD and the best he could pull was a 15.0@94. The car was capable of a mid 14 but that still shouldn't be a problem for a good running LT1.

95 or 96 you'll win. Just make sure you don't launch too horribly.

I personally am not crazy for the 4.6. It just doesn't have as much potential, like aftermarket heads, cams, and intakes. I would much rather have a 5.0, but not a 1994-1995 5.0! Those cars were slower than the fox bodies!

You should have him by a few cars!

If you're sure he doesn't have anything else, it's your race to win.

You will win.

A friend of mine had one of these. It was a 5 speed that some how got 2.7X gears off the production line.

That thing ran 15.1 with basicly only a catback. I would consistantly beat on him with my old '85 trans am (305).

The car looked and sounded nice. Too bad it couldnt get out of it's own way.
