well, i was out screwin off in the Formula (i took it to the store, i know the exhaust is screwed as well as the intake manifold gasket, but i couldn't resist :roll: ) well, i was on the way to the other store i needed to go to when beside me comes this 86 Mustbang GT (knew it was 86 because that year has the older front end and newer rear end) with a club sticker on it. well, he slows down to get beside me and revs it (shocked i heard it with the Formula's exhaust the way it is !) then we both gun it, to my surprise i pulled away quick and easy (i know the Formie smokes Mustangs easy when shes feelin good but i didnt think i could in her present condition.) and after we hit about 95 he backed off and turned down a side street. well, soon after i came up to my turn, saw a r*cer and punched it real quick to get a lil bit of sideways motion goin. quickly after that i see a sheriffs car haul @$$ behind me and i knew i was screwed. well, shortly after he ran my plate he pulled me over, but unlike other cops, he DIDNT get the spotlight right in my mirror as to blind me (that pi$$e$ me off sooo much when they do that) and when he came up to my window he asked for my license and said, "ya know, i could ticket you for so many things right now it would make your head spin". and to that i replied, "oh yeah, i know." then he said, "but im not, do ya know why im not?" i said, "i have no clue". he said, "because i use to have a bird like this and i love seein one ABSOLUTELY WASTE A MUSTANG!!" after that the tension was off and we started BS'ing about my car and his old one (ironically also an 87 Formula!!!) and he told me to slow down because he was about the only cop out there that would let me go after that many violations. like i said, awesome cop, pretty awesome race too!!!!

You are definately lucky. I have an 87 too, too bad it's not a Formula. I never been pulled over by the cops. I even passed a cop going 10 mph over the speed limit when we were the only 2 cars on the road on a 2 lane. Maybe he knew I had a 2.8l and wasn't going anywhere fast. The cop turned off an exit ramp a 1/4 mile later and didnt't think twice about pulling me over.
