We (my dad, my sister, my sister's boyfriend and myself) were transporting a 91' RS (re-built, now puts out 325 horsepower) from new-york to maryland. On the Jersey Turnpike we let my sisters boyfriend drive it, we had a video camera and were taping him driving by and behind us and in front of us... well, he was behind us and a bmw cut him off so I get on the radio and say "hey joe, pass the bmw"...he thinks I meant fly by it so we could tape it... he pulls into the next lane, and guns it (everyone is traveling about 70mph)....he flies by us like it was nothing and as he did my dad looked up and saw a cop...he got him...110+ in a 65mph speed limit.... me and my dad were in the truck and we pulled over also, my sister and her boyfriend were in the car...we sat and waited for a while, then he comes on the radio "he gave us a warning" we laughed so hard... gave him a ticket for not having his seat belt on though (he took it off to get his wallet)...it was great.. we checked the ticket, for the pricing...30-34mph over the speed limit $233 fine...they had nothing higher...he was 45+ over the speed limit....

sorry for the long story...I thought it was pretty funny.

I did something just like that a few nights ago. I was driving home down Route 4, also in New Jersey, and right before a porsche dealership (good place to hide) theres an overpass. Spead limit is 55mph, and Im stuck behind an 80's chrysler Minivan going 45-50. i get into the left lane and pass him, as I get past the Minivan I see a turned off cop car in the shoulder, hiding in the shadow of the overpass (it's night) Cop gets me for going 85 in a 55, though I was going more like 95, must of caught me braking Pulls me over, and luckily I had a PBA family member card (No I am not related to any cops ) The reason I mention this is because he also let me off, despite facing the maximum fine, but also gave me a ticket for not wearing a Seat belt (I too took it off to get stuff from the glove box) This seems to be a cop trick, and it pisses me off. Still its better then $200 and 4 points hehe
