I thought this was funny. The other day on my way to work I pull up to a red light and there is this red Jeep Cherokee next to me. I notice he is giving some light revs and inching up slowly. I look over and it is some punk kid with gay sunglasses and leather driving gloves. So I decide I'm going to teach this goofball a lesson. The light turns green and he takes off, I just sit there until hes got about ten lengths and I punch it. I was by him in no time, as soon as I clear his bumper I let off and wait for him to catch up. I let him get another length again and I feather the gas and go by him again. We get stopped at the next red light and I look over at him and he is totally pissed off. I cant believe this fool actually thought he stood a chance. Maybe he thought all that chrome around the sides added horsepower.

BTW: Jeep grand cherokees are said to be fastest of the American SUV's. Only one that I can think of that is faster is the Mercedes one. But that's top speed faster I think. I recall reading somewhere that those Grand Cherokees run high 15's. I have driven about 10 -15 of these ( my dad has a small car dealership.) and there was one that was a factory freak, I could do a 4 tire burnout!!! Kick ***..!!

Okay, it is slow, but it outran a Blazer, a Jetta with an exhaust and intake, and I am sure it could take out a few more average vehicles! Plus it has power everything!

Heh, I think he's referring to Better Off Dead....the mid - early 80's movie w/ the guy who loses his girl to the ski team captain, and he ends up racing him and beats him in the end - the girl wants him back, but he kicks er to the curb and gets w/a french chick instead . That part where he falls asleep at the burger joint and the lil burger starts singing and dancing had me LMAO though!

 

Are you thinking of a different movie, there is one thats on TV all the time with a black 69ish SS camaro, and those guys with the gloves and helmet and a PA in a sation wagon that are always trying to race, it might be called "Better Off Dead", not sure though but it sounds familiar

I always get those two movies mixed up for some reason. one crazy summer is cool though too. one of my best friends lives on nantucket where that was filmed and its cool to see places you've been to in movies hehe. ok im done guys. But i lbelieve that car was a black 69 camaro SS and him and the french chick rebuilt the whole car in one afternoon and it was wicked fast lol. those jap guys are hysterical
