pulled the old s10 to shake the dust off her. i ran into a clean looking tta. sitting at the light he was about 2 cars behind me. as a couple of blocks go by he made his way next to me. we got caught at a light together. we did the stare and nod the waited for the light to change. Man can those tta get out of the hole. he had me by about two cars right off the bat. as soon as i shifted into second i started to make up ground. by the top end of second i was just starting to edge him out and we had to get on the brakes. at the next light he gave me a wave and roll down the window. he said that the tta had a bigger turbo and 22lbs of boost. i complimented him on the sweet ride and he said the same about the s10. we both drove off with a smile and knowing that we had a good race. no **** talking just a common respect for each others rides. not really a kill kinda a squeek. who knows if we had gone longer he might have come back but i was barely pulling.

Whats do you in have in your S10 ? What does it run 1/4 mile wise. ? Where are you located, I just might have to give one of my fellow TTA owners some grief about an S-10 if there on the boards.

 

The s10 had a major engine failure so i replaced it with a another small block. it is 355 ci with a great set of iron double hump heads. the cam is a little large for the converter but it keeps wheel spin down. the truck weighs 2802 with me in it. so it is one of those light trucks with a big motor things. it is a rocket but lord help ya if you gotta turn. I am in dallas tx. I don't take nothing away from the tta or gn. those are little rocket ships. how cool is being able to go mid 12's with just a boost increase and everything else bone stock. We need a v8 like that
