My Roc vs. Dakota vs. Z26

Hi guys, I want to let everyone know of a race that is going to go down between me and my 2 two friends. The only reason they want to race is because they just got there cars this week and think that they are the greatest cars ever made.

The first is a 1996 Dodge Dakota Sport, 5 speed 3.9L V6 with I think the 175HP, and around 220TQ?? I dont know how light his truck is but should I be worried? The truck is in nice shape and only has about 60,000 miles (Oh and he DOES know how to drive a stick very well)

The next competitor is a 1994 Chevy Beretta Z26, Auto V6, again in nice shape and with low miles. I'm not too worried about him

Well we are gonna line up on this road tomorrow night and I want to know what the outcome will be? We are gonna do a couple of runs up to about 80MPH or so, we'll see when it goes down? My car is in Sig.... Thanks for any responses!!

Start from a dead stop, your shift kit, LCA's and those meats on your rear wheels will show them what torque means.

Thats what we are gonna do, dead stop races Oh yeah, I can hook up great now too! The new potenzas I got for rubber are brand new and barely break loose when I stomp on it! I love these tires, those matched with my LCA's/Panhard Bar/Sub frames/STB should keep me pretty much straight on my launches. Well thanks for the info, so what order will the end be: 1. ROC 2. Truck 3.Z26?

Well I don't see the Dakota in second. You definetly smoke both, but I think the Beretta will beat the Dodge.

Later, and you don't have anything to worry about, Later, Garrett

those Dakotas are dogs, I made a fool of one with my 2.8.. the beretta will easily come in ahead of the truck, but you should show them both

If he just got his truck and it's a 5 speed then he most likely wont be able to launch it so you will rape the dakota, the z26 will beat the dakota, but you will beat them all.

The Dakota would only be a problem if it had the 318 5.2L. The early 90's with that engine could take out some 5.0 Mustang's.

The l8 90's Dakota's arnt that fast even with the 5.9. There a bigger and heavy'r truck with the new design. Not sure what year the body style changed so not sure what style his 96 would be. Either way a 3.9 is not that quick. No clue about the Z26 other then I smoked one in my 90 TPI 350. Not really anything to compare there. I got a luvable ""wait till I get out my Monty SS with the 427ci Hemi" lol U mean Rat, Hemi's Dodge" No 427 Hemi, there independent"" So U mean its a Mopar 426 Hemi in your Monty SS? ""No its not Mopar its a 427 Hemi"" what ever, bring it" Gotta luv them guy's.

'94 Z/26 comes with a 3.1 V-6 or a 2.3 Quad four. I would actually think that the Quad Four would run pretty close to the 3.1 (if the Quad was a stick) the Quad Fours where pretty freakin cool for a 4-cyl.

Have fun smokin' those guys, Later, Garrett

The 94 Z26 would be the 3100, which is rated 160 hp and 185 lb.ft. of torque. I think you'll beat him easily. The only Quad 4 that went into the Beretta was the HO Quad 4 used in the GTU, which is only mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. And that could actually be pretty quick.

You gotta put people in their place sometimes ya know? Like about every other ***** that pulls up next to you. Street racing is the biggest rush and win or lose I'll race anyone anytime just to do it.

edit: don't evade the censors.
