vette vs trans am

Anyone know exact 1/4 mile times for a 1997-1999 corvette vs a 2001 trans am with ram air and ws6 package? How much faster is the vette over the trans am? They are both stock.

I sold my camaro and am looking at the trans am, but there is this 98-99 vette for sale for the same price. So i wanted to know what the difference is between the two cars.

Thanks,
-Kevin

just remember that a corvette is not meant to be a drag racer. the trans am is more fit for that. some trans ams can run with those vettes off the line. but from a 30 mile an hour roll they are hard to beat. vettes are aqmazing at those speeds. i ran with one from 30 and i was up with him till 90 and he started to pull. not hard but i knew i had no chance at high speeds. my car is no slouch either. personally the trans am is just drop dead gorgeous and if you want to make it faster like a drag racer it would be more suitable.
