that vw commercial bothers me, but then again vw's in general bother me, especially bugs (its got a flower vase in the dash, wtf is that?) thats good you let him win, it would be a funny story though to see what the kid would do if you wasted him

Yeah, in that VW commercial that shows the fake dad racing his fake kid, it says that the car puts out like 250 horses or something like that. I wonder if that's fake too, or are these cars that fast?

it says 270 hp in the commercial, and yea it probably is fast. the W engine is an awesome engine, just wouldnt wana work on one. Car and driver ran the quater in 15.4.. but at 95mph.. thats deep into the 14's. 0-60 is 6.5 sec, and skidpad shows .80g. C&D said there is gunna be a "sport" package next year so we'll see

haha I think these replies are funny, all the people saying you should have smoked him and flipped him off and everything, its funny. I think its cool that you let him win, but like others have said, make sure that you steer him in the right direction, teach him that imports and 4 cylinders are a no no.

I wouldn't say imports and 4 cyl or no no

**** is a no no though

but if he wants to buy a 4 banger then by all means when he grows up it wouldn't be a bad choice.

It's great that you let him win that's pretty cool. yeah steer him in the right direction, cuz remember "Rycers rot your brain" and make sure his parents don't buy him a Visor for any reason.... after that its downhill from there, next comes the baggy pants, and the eminem blasting out the power wheel with hubcaps taped on to the wheels, and even worse....... a ...... sticker collection...... for what might lie ahead

Speaking of brother my brother gets his liscense in 9 days. He is looking for a third gen. He wants to take mine to school but I am hesitant. Everyone drools when I pick him up at school and ask him whos car that is. I will probably let him take it to school a few times but with some very strict rules!!!!!!

Yeah strick rules for him man
Rule 1. Drive another car
Rule 2. If you must drive the thirdgen, only I drive
Rule 3. If you end up in third gen's driver seat go back to rule 1.

that oughta work.

im a BIG fan of rule 1.. thats usualy were i stop, or else the Z will be boxed out in a matter of seconds, and not exhaust gases. I dont let the middle child drive it, just start it up if im not home for a month or so... but that rarely happend cause im home usualy every 3 weeks

I am just picky on who gets to drive my car! I wreaked my last one doing something stupid and since this car is like my dream car because it has the look I have worked hard for I dont want it to get mested up. Just a couple days ago I almost wreaked it because some moron cut me off and I jerked my car to the right trying to dodge him, when that happened my car fished tailed a few times and I eventually did a 360. I am glad I did not crash or hit a curb when that happened!

Yeah, I am also glad my car is ok because I would of been livid if my car got crunched and the guy got away. He did not stick around after I almost killed my self from is ignorance.

That reminds me of the time I raced my little brother. I was in my Camaro and he was on his Huffy or whatever. I really don't like the kid, so I completely destroyed him. HAHAHA, I was like "I'll give you a head start" then I just nailed it and smoked his stupid a$$.
