F150
F150
Saturday night around 11:30 I was driving home and i saw these guys in this ford F150. i noticed that they were the same guys who asked me at prom if i thought my camaro could beat their truck. So we got this light and when it turned green i had him by a car right off the line and h never made up any ground. I wasn't happy i beat the truck because i knew i would. I was glad i embarassed those guys who actually thought they had a chance against my camaro.

Unless the F-150 is either a 5.4L engine or a Lightning, they don't usually have a chance against alot of things. F-150's are about 16-17 second vehicles. Granted stop light to stop light they aren't to bad. There torque is all down in the lower RPM ranges. Since they are designed for towing.
I have a 2002 F-150 and I *know* it won't outrun my Trans-AM.

The regular 5.4L trucks and the supercharged Lightning and Harley Davidson trucks are no slouches.

The 5.4L ford trucks will lose to L98/LB9/L69 but might be a good race with a LG4/auto car. They are not even close to fast trucks.

I think the 5.4L N/A trucks are ok. But your right they are no match for the higher end 5.0L engines. They beat your average Honda though.
