Me VS Integra
ok this was setup a long *** time ago, the guy kept pushing it back and back, finally it happened at my highschool drags a few weeks back, i havent had net for a while,
we go, his car is a 94, i think intagra with a GSR, turbo, and 75 shot of n20 for spooling the turbo, he put around $11,000 into the engine.
my car is a 83 camaro Z28, 350, .30 over, cam specs are 224*/224* @ .50 duration, fully worked heads with summit roller rockers, screw in studs and pushrod guideplates, along with a Edelbrock Performer intake and a Edelbrock 600CFM carb.
when we got there we took off my hood so i can get nice cold ait strait into the open element. well after a few races and such we finally get lined up together.
i got my stock z28 rims with street tires and about 12 psi in the rears, he is on slicks.
i line up and just barley trip the staging lights, he deep stages it.
geeen, i murder him off the line, cant rember the reaction time but 60 ft was around a 1.98 or so, his was like a 2.27.
eny of the track i ran a final of 13.8 at 95mph i think, and he ran a 14.4 at like 97mph.
it was funny as hell because our bet was if i won he owed me $800 on the spot, and if i lost i had to buy him, my brother and 2 of their friends dinner where ever they wanted because they were so sure he would win.
needless to say, that was my best run, and that was his best run, we never got a chance to see eachother run before that race because we were both tuning and such.

i swapped in some front V6 springs, i also threw in a set of stock LCA's that i boxed at school, along with a beefed up panhard bar. but i wish i had my SFC's in that would have brought it down alot more, that and a posi and better gearing, peg leg and 3.23's arent good enough.

isn't a GSR teg around low 15's high 14's as is stock?
and if he is using a 75shot just to spool the turbo the only reason he should have it is if he is running a LARGE turbo...
something doesn't add up here

yes i know that tammy, that was my best time, that is runnign VERY low PSI, and with the other few mods i barrowed off a friend car do the day. so it wasnt too bad, but like it says, your car is stock, mine isn't anywhere near stock, i had my engine and tranny built for the rear end gears i have, and the tranny to be built around the gears and engine power so i can get the best times out of it. but this is runnin with these dam 78cc chamger heads, i want to throw on some AFR 190's and see whats up.
RX7, na, most are mid to high 15's that ive seen, the guy is a dumbass also, he doesnt know how to tune his car, and thinks V-tec is all high and mighty.

let me rephrase then cause your right
it seems most don't run what they CAN being FWD sucks
but low 15's I think are possible with a stock GSR
though as you said most run better then that
and by something isn't right wasn't try to pull BS flag with you
but something didn't sound right with him.......

tammy: that wont be happening, i had it flat beeded there by my grandpa because i dont have insurance on it, i would but my grandpa is headed back to california now so it wont be happening soon.
