I just took my car to the track and hit 17.090, very dissapointing. I bet my friend that I could take the stock engine and get the car to run 10.5. The body will be fiberglassed and NOS and a Turbo or turbos will be used. Is it possible?

 

possible, maybe. probably HELL NO. and besides, the amount of money youd have to spend would be more outrageous than the actual 10.5 run.

 

I have to agree with primer84z, It will take a lot of money to get the 305 into the 10.5 range. You could just throw a juiced big block in there and get the same results, but with way more streetability. I know you were asking if it was possible with a 305, but I dont like those engines at all. just my two cents.

 

I'd say, if you bet your friend $15,000.00 that you should go for it. At least you'd get all your money back when you break into the 10's.

It is possible to do. I think there are a few guys on the boards pushing 400 or so RWHP with a s/c or turbo. It will cost you an arm and a leg, but if you want you can.

 

i dont know who it was i think it was MONTY that has an 82 vette with like 1200 hp and 1000tq!!!
