I was driving my girlfriends' Ford ****us (Focus) today when I got a nasty glare from a dude with his chick in a 91-92 Trans Am...I knwow it was auto because he was not shifting gears and it was dualed out with Flowmaster....sounded ok....not too ballsee...my GTA sounds better with the muffler it has and the original cat still on it. I see this guy around town and Sunday night at the crusies...I am getting the windshield and hood put on my car by this weekend..and I am gonna cut the cat off Saturday...so Sunday night I am gonna see what this guy is made of...as far as I know he is stock, and from what I am told its not a 350, they told me a "carbed" 305...I take it its TBI....my mods are listed below..what do you all think the outcome will be...AARON

if its stock engine you are going to rape him, even if its modded alittle you are going to beat him.

 

I could be wrong, but i think in 91/91 the trans am's were all tpi equipped.

Maybe its a 305tbi? But then it would be a base bird. Or maybe he has done some sort of swap.

 

According to the tech data the 91 to 92 TransAm/GTA/Z28/Formula/yadda..yadda.. could not come equipped with TBI engines.

well the car looks like a base bird, does not say Trans Am, even if it is a TPI, I can't wait to race a ThirdGen worth racing...I hope its a TPI...just to see if my L98 is still in tune...AARON

 

If its a base bird than the best you can hope for is a TBI.
