What will a bone stock 2000 Mustang GT run in the quarter?
Just curious.

I raced a newer GT a while back from a roll on my way to the Island and I stayed on his front fender the whole way....our tires were basically next to each other....we shut it down at about 90...I consider that a loss....those are the races you wish were on the track were the numbers would decide...but they are very easily modded...some gears and exhaust and intake work...this one had a cold air from K&N on it and a nice Blowmaster Exhaust.... - AARON

I guess that is true with alot of cars. All depends on the driver. The reason I asked is because I test drove one a couple weeks ago and it was fun. I just got my Camaro back on the road this weekend and it feels about the same. I have alot of tuning to due on it cause it should be a good second quicker than that Mustang. Of course I have good breathing heads now and a pretty good size cam, but am still running manifolds and cat. Also have a 600 Edelbrock that needs to find a new home. Think that exhaust is next. Thanks for the info even though this is some pretty rough guessing on my part. Gives me a little bit of an idea. The nearest track is like 80 miles from here or I would just try that.

Well you probably arent running well because you need an exhaust , you have high flowing heads and an intake but the air cant get out through the stock exhaust. The stock exhaust is probably the first thing that should go on every car. Get headers and a cat back and youll see a huge difference.
