944 turbo vs third-gen

what do u think would win a 1986 Porsche 944 turbo or a 87' iroc with 5.0 tpi and a 5 speed. there would be two races from a stop and from like around 50 mph i think them porsche 994's have around 215 hp and have 5 speeds i dont know the gear ratio on the camaro or the porsche. so what do u think? have any of you guys ever raced one before? oh yea lets say both cars are stock

The 944 Turbo's were pushing 220hp and 260tq IIRC and they're sitting at 2800 lbs usually with driver. The turbo's are usually capable of 14.2-14.6 @ around 96mph average.

Raced one down the hwy and beat him, when I still had the old G92 TPI 305, but he had me easy untill he blew something and it started back fireing like mad, it was at night and it looked like fireworks comming out of the back of his car.

He saw me commnig and punched it, I managed to get neck and neck with him before he started to leave me easy then boom and it was all over I smocked him. He followed me to my parking lot and I helped him get it running so he could get home. Rather nice car actualy.

There's a late 80s turbo 944 that was running at our local track. He was aweful on the line. Didn't see his slip but it had to be around 2.6 60 ft times. I also don't know the exact year. At the end of the track he was hitting 14.8 at 99mph. So the turbo would take you from a roll for sure. maybe close from a dead stop.

I raced one from a roll and from a stop. I killed it off the line, but he was able to pull on me pretty hard on top end
