how heavy is the car? if its a stripper civic hatch back.. and that engine... good 15's!!! hehehe nah.. i say 14's. To make a 350 beat that, wouldnt take much. if he aint spraying, or turbo or other forced induction, you should have him with exhaust, headers, basic free and cheap mods(filters, porting, etc..) a TC, maybe gears if they ones in the car suck. GSR integras run like 14's... so in this car, i say mid 14's. if its a stick and he sucks at driving.. then you could probably hand him his a$$ easily. If hes got some serious stuff going(nitrous, tubo, cam changes, etc), then you might have to dip into the engine for some power.

If it's a stock N/A motor in the civic you'll win. If he's spaying or running a turbo/sc you might have a bit of trouble... I'd port the heads, install a bigger cam, bigger rear gears, and add a blower just to make sure though, but that's just me....

off the line, you'll kill it. the GSR motors are high-revvers with no torque. he'd get you if the race kept going to the point where he could utilize VTEC, and the TPI runs out of breath.

Yeah, funny since the Horespower Store, as seen in the photo, is a shop in Plano, Texas just north of Dallas and, as far as I know, that car is off the Fikse website.....

Maybe he did take it off, but the car in the camaro book was that car then. If that is 84 camaroboy's car... congrats in getting your car into a book. But why the move to canada? anyway... the 350 wouldnt have to be that modded to beat a gsr.

Now that i think about it... the camaro had slp two to the side exhaust... thats the only thing i didnt like about it.

Unless hes running some kinda forced induction or n20, all your 350 needs to do to beat him is to run on all 8

What year civic hatch is it? Some of them with gsr motor swaps and small supporting mods can be 13 second rides. Most likely though you'll be able to take him as long as he isn't spraying or running forced induction.

I personally know someone very well with a B16 engine swapped into his CRX with cams, custom chip, intake, exhaust, slicks, some sort of special transmission that he said came in the type r's or something, gutted interior with racing seats and belts, rims, etc. He runs a stunning 14.6 with everything he has done. That is including his custom dyno tuned chip. You got nothing to worry about.

If a supporting mod is nitrous or a turbo.

Thats the only truely intellegent post in this whole thread.

Some of you guys are so dense towards other cars it makes me embarrassed to be a 3rd gen owner.

I'd say 90% of people are ****ty drivers that cant make a car live up to its potential, You better hope that he is in this 90% column.

I think you can take him easily. The only thing I would suggest are some sticky tires so you aren't caught spinning off the line, or you can run him from a roll.

Even with the insults, it will still be lucky to run 14s n/a. That's just from personal experience though, maybe the air is a lot worse here or something.

I think you read too much on message boards and on the internet, and dont have enough first hand experience.

I've ran a few cars, and know a few people with them.

I KNOW what they are capable of.

Anyone even read this? I assume the guy you are asking about doesn't even have half the stuff my buddy has. He'll be lucky to break out of the 15's.

I have a friend who was at the Seattle Drag Strip (or whatever one is close to the area.) That seen a 03 Cobra turn a 14.4. Does that mean all Cobras are that slow? No, it just means that one driver isn't that good.

Hell, I could have stalled the car and got better times.

Well his 14.6 was with slicks and he was able to pull a 1.9 60, which is pretty good for front wheel drive and small *** tires like he has. He bought 14 inch slicks with a low profile sidewall to basically give the same effect as gears. I know the guy can drive and what's is best so far after many tries? 14.6. Damn that's flyin right there:lala: I mean hell, the guy put it on a dyno and was able to put down somewhere around 170-180ish front wheel hp. That was with his cams and custom dyno tune. His car weighs nothing also. You can go on and on and on about how they can be fast, but the simple fact is without some type of forced induction, they are SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW! That's why he has a turbo in the works.

EDIT: forgot to mention his torque was barely over 100 If I remember correctly, lol.

my friend has a 95 civic hatch with a gsr swap and ran 13.9 with full interior, 5 speed, but the engine had headers, intake, and some sort of vtec controller. I really didn't ask him what kind of mods he have so he probably has more mods done to it

youd have a much better shot getting him out of the hole...once there rollin, they can be suprising,,

take for example..i raced a 98 or so integra GSR from a dead stop and left him in my shadow till about 75-80 when i stopped pulling...then i raced him again from a 60 roll...i pulled a little all the way to 130....and he stayed right with me...

my G92 LB9 ran a 14.1@96.5....muffler k&n and a couple free mods..

i know its not a CRX or WTFE it is...but its the same purpose...

kinda like those SVT foci....gutless out of the hole but once there moving they run very well for a little 4 banger...
